My experimental paintings are made of a myriad of materials including acrylic, oil and cold wax, drawing materials, and non-traditional items such as concrete, roofing tar, and masonry material. The entire product is created by me as I buy full panel wood sheets to use as the backing board and as the cradled trim.
Although my work is two dimensional, I prefer to see my process as sculptural as I build the surface, tear it down, and built it again to convey a sense of time, experience, and memory.
